What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a class-based fitness programme for all abilities that focuses on fundamental movements: Cardiovascular Endurance Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance and Accuracy.

Can anyone do CrossFit?

YES! It is for all. And we really mean EVERYONE. Regardless of your current fitness levels and abilities CrossFit scales up and down to fit your health needs.

I have never lifted weights before, does this matter?

Not at all! The great thing about Newbury CrossFit is our experienced coaches and small class sizes enable high quality coaching. Feel safe in the knowledge we go at a speed which works for you. Learn basic weight lifting movements so that you become competent and confident when working out. Remember, someone is always on hand to help you. We all have to start somewhere.

Do I need to have a certain fitness level to start?

All of the classes can be scaled to suit your starting needs. At Newbury CrossFit were focused on understanding your health goals and making them achievable.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Comfortable sports clothing and water. Oh, and a ‘can-do’ attitude is good too. We are a fun support community with our team and members helping each other.
